Daytime Opportunities

“Active Days” is our very own daytime resource centre offering a variety of daily activities, this is situated at our "Resource Centre" at 7 Alexandra Street, Kettering.

Traditional services are available such as crafts, cook and eat and relaxation classes, however, we also offer much, much more!

We have links with two local companies ( a brewery and a sign makers) , where we can offer “on the job”  paid work experience.

Our service has established links with Neighbourhood Learning, offering courses such as “IT for the Terrified”, CV writing, interview skills, arts and crafts and head/hand massage.

We also are able to offer First Aid /Basic Life Support, Fire Safety, Safe Moving and Handling, and Health and Safety  training to customers  at  Level 1 and Level 2. .

Maths and English learning sessions are also available to assist customers with budgeting skills.

Our large functional kitchen offers daily living coaching and skills, with the option of customers achieving a Level 1 Food and Hygiene Certificate.  We offer further daily living skills such as travel training, laundry and community access.

We promote well being and health, with regular guest speakers from podiatrists, district nurse, dental practices, CTPLD and so on.

Our service is suitable for all age groups, and especially suitable for customers looking for work experiences to lead to paid work, or wishing to achieve a more independent life.

We are based conveniently close to Kettering town centre, with excellent access to the transport system.  Transport is available for customers, we are happy to provide our service across Northamptonshire.
